With a flat digital detector, the Fluoroscan has become a byword in intra-operative mini c-arm x-ray imaging for hand and foot surgery, not only because of its excellent image quality due to the smallest focal spot available but also its ease of positioning for pin-point accuracy of a small field, ideal for extremity surgery. The Fluoroscan FD is designed with the surgeon in mind. Controls are available within the sterile field so that with appropriate training it can be used without radiology staff being in attendance – saving valuable time and resources.

Following a long running fact-finding exercise with users, Hologic have further enhanced the InSight. Changes include a high-resolution imaging mode that gives the user the option to utilise full detector resolution and a low dose rate mode which adds the option to reduce dose rates by over 50% compared to auto mode, while still providing clinically relevant images. The system has a reputation for being compact and this quality has been augmented with a redesigned monitor arm and integrated keyboard.
